ABOUT THIS POSITION:

This position is for higher level management at Chick-fil-A Harbor Blvd at the Costa Mesa, CA location. This is a full-time (40 hours a week), hourly, non-exempt position with benefits. Each Chick-fil-A Franchise is individually owned and operated.

If hired you will approximately spend the first quarter of employment (90 days) learning the different facets of the business. Then based on performance and business need, you will be assigned a branch of the business to direct. The business branches are: Front of House, Back of House, and Drive-Thru.

The expectations for each director's branch are listed below to give prospective director candidates a robust overview of the various expectations. A high level of flexibility and professionalism is required for all directors. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Director positions will be expected to regularly work eight hour shifts at either morning (5:30am-2pm), mid-day (11am-7pm), or evening (2pm-11:30pm), depending on the need of the business and store performance goals. A prime candidate will have availability during two or three of these times on a regular daily basis. Availability can alternate throughout the week. Additionally, directors are expected to have open weekend availability on Friday and Saturday. Friday and Saturdays have the highest demand for excellent store operations and require additional leadership support on a regular basis. A prime candidate should have open availability for at least one weekend day, however open availability for both weekend days are highly preferred.

A minimum of 3 years of high-performance leadership experience is preferred. A qualified candidate must be 18 years of age or older.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Be the standard of excellence in all areas of FOH, BOH, and DT operations
    • reference FOH, BOH, DT: Team Member and Shift Leader job descriptions
  • Talent selection
  • Support and collaborate with the Director of People on all FOH, BOH, and DT training
  • Coach and develop Shift Leaders including goal setting and performance reviews
  • Create and achieve annual performance goals with Operator
  • Create and achieve 90-Day Sprint Performance Goals with Operator
  • Draft weekly labor schedules to achieve labor and performance goals
  • Support and collaborate with the Director of Marketing on all in-store marketing campaigns, sampling, and promotions
  • Grow and develop the mobile business
  • Direct and manage vendors
  • Know all business analytics for the FOH, BOH, and DT
    • Sales, CEM scores, FC gaps, Labor gaps, ERQA etc. and drive towards excellence in each area
  • Personal leadership development
  • Selflessly serve and collaborate with your Director team, always putting their needs before your own

    • all POS, IPOS, headsets, outside cash and other necessary technologies while owning/respecting all equipment

  • All areas under the stewardship of the FOH, BOH, and DT are sparkling clean at all times
  • Vendors that service the FOH, BOH, and DT perform at a high level and the resources are properly stewarded
